Program Details

Day 1-2
Upon arrival in Arusha at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a friendly representative who will provide a VIP ‘Meet and Greet’ service before escorting you 1.5 hours to the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Here, you can spend the afternoon walking through the sprawling grounds of the estate and stop by ‘traders walk’ – a row of quaint shops that specialize in African crafts, carvings, Tanzanite gemstones, clothes and more. In the evening we recommend enjoying a fabulous meal in the gourmet restaurant overlooking the sparkling pool and water features. On day 2, enjoy a 2-hour coffee tour to see how coffee is grown, harvested, dried and produced. This is also an opportunity for you to purchase some aromatic freshly ground coffee to take home. Relax over lunch in either the main restaurant, Bacchus, or the vibey cafe bistro. In the late afternoon we have included a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list experience for you and your loved one. You will embark on a thrilling 1-hour light aircraft flight over Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa! This adventure has an audio-guide that caters for most languages.

Overnight Arusha Coffee Lodge

Day 3-4
After a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport where you will board a light aircraft for a short scenic flight through to a local airstrip near Tarangire National Park. Here, you will be met by one of the lodge representatives from Chem Chem who will escort you on an easy 45-minute drive to Chem Chem Lodge – located on a 20 000 hectares private concession. After check in, you will have time to enjoy the perfect balance of wide-open spaces and untamed African bush and the vintage charm of the lodge itself. In the late afternoon on day three, as the sun begins to set and the first stars start to twinkle in the sky, we will arrange for a Maasai Choir of between 12 – 15 strong to serenade you in song, as you celebrate your union on the shores of Lake Manyara in a traditional Maasai ceremony. It doesn’t get any more romantic than this breathtaking setting. During certain times of the year, thousands of pink hued flamingoes will congregate along the shoreline. Return in the evening and sit around the fire pit beneath a sheet of stars, while enjoying a refreshing beverage. We of course recommend a good champagne for this special occasion.

Day 4-6

Start your day with a celebratory morning safari activity and breakfast at the lodge, before embarking on a short light aircraft flight and transfer from Manyara airstrip to the all-inclusive andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Spend 2 glorious nights enjoying all the facilities and activities on offer at this award-winning property. A special bucket list experience on offer is the crater descent which sees you driving into the world famous game-rich Ngorongoro Crater – one of the epic wonders of the natural world. Tarangire National Park

Area Overview
In the middle of the park, the Silale swamp becomes the main source of water and attracts elephants and predators as the season gets drier and drier. There is a healthy lion population and the other predators are often spotted trailing the plains game as they head to water, or occasionally the cats can be spotted lounging in sausage trees.

Day 7 - 9
After saying goodbye to the friendly staff at andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, a lodge representative will transfer you back to Manyara airstrip for your light aircraft flight through to Seronera airstrip in the heart of the central Serengeti. After a short mini-game drive transfer to an absolutely incredible location, a traditional Maasai welcome awaits you with singing and dancing. During your stay you can enjoy a romantic bush breakfast, and special sundowners will be set up in the most amazing scenic location with cocktails and gourmet snacks. The lodge is highly rated for their food, so there will be no normal meals here! A romantic bubble bath set up by your private butler in the opulent copper bath tub with sweeping views of the Serengeti. On the morning of day 9 we have arranged a safari hot air balloon flight that will see you soaring over the Serengeti at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. It is not uncommon to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants from above. You can tailor the rest of the day to your liking, either embarking on a morning and afternoon game drive or even a full day 8-hour action-packed game drive with your guide.

Depending on the time of year, you may see huge flocks of pink flamingo around the shores of the shallow Lake Magadi.
